A lot of you have probably heard of this, as it happens to everyone, usually more than once. It occurs a lot with cliques or groups of girls. There's one leader, and the rest of the girls would follow her around and 'worship' her. Pretty Little Liars, The Clique and other books of that genre are very good examples of hard core friendships. Some of the other girls in the group might take the leader to be mean, or just dying for attention, but in general, the leader loves her friends just as much as anybody else. The leader is not a bully, she is simply a girl with a lot of self-confidence and because of this, she sometimes appears prettier or 'better' than the other girls in her group. This often leads to envy or even jealousy of the leader, which can destroys friendships between the girls.
First of all, let me just reassure you that it's happened to all of us. And if it hasn't yet, believe me, it will, and it won't be fun. I'm going to tell you how to recognize the problem and get to it before it gets you. Buckle up, girlies. You're in for a very bumpy ride!
Check my blog again soon for more on how to deal with the little monster we know as Jealousy!

You mean USUALLY the leader is not a bully, e.t.c.
ReplyDeleteWell, yes, I suppose so. But most of the time the leader does't even know that she's doing it.
ReplyDeleteTrue...not in MY stories, though. Take Jewel for an example...a PQ and proud of it!
